Get an odd push notification from “Find my phone” last night, with just a number 1? Yeah, someone at Samsung !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

At least it wasn’t a erroneous missile attack warning.....

My wife texted me about that this morning. I quickly checked her google account to make sure it hadn’t been breached and didn’t find anything. Then I saw an article about that today...

Yep, I got my 1 1 earlier today, though I only saw it after I saw coverage so I wasn’t too weirded out.

I like that Samsung’s statement was:

Recently, a notification about “Find My Mobile 1” occurred on a limited number of Galaxy devices. This was sent unintentionally during an internal test and there is no effect on your device. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.

Where apparently “a limited number of Galaxy devices” meant “ limited to all of them ”.

Yeah, my wife and I both got one last night at 1 AM, which was annoying because we both stayed up late to watch Ford v Ferrari and had just gotten to sleep.

I have both a phone and tablet and got no notification. Perhaps it's because I refuse to use a Samsung account and related services that they try to foist upon you instead of the standard Android suite
